About The Event
PLEASE NOTE START TIME WILL BE AT THE END OF THE FESTIVAL, LIKELY 7PM START.
Evening skate in Barcelona to head to Badalona Beach.
This is a street skate, with some hills, roads to cross and sketchy bits of path. But the reward is high!
If your feet have had enough, we suggest you hop on public transport and see you in Badalona.
You will need all your own equipment and wear everything you need to feel safe. All outdoor spaces are different!
*Skates
*Knee pads
*Wrist guards
*Small bag with shoes and water
*Sunglasses
RGG aims to create safe spaces for Roller skaters of varying experience levels, so you are welcome if you are new to street skating. We usually ensure that a skater who knows the route is at the back of the street skate so that no one gets left behind.
That said we would expect that you follow the below recommendations:
Whilst Roller Girl Gang team members who attend outdoor meetups will try and keep participants safe, all skating activities are at your own risk, as it would be if you were skating alone.
Outdoor meetups are not coaching sessions, they are social meetups and whilst RGG team members may give some skating advice, it is purely at their discretion.
Participants must ensure they are both well enough to skate and have the skills to skate in the location where the meetup is being held. (Please note that whilst we try to stick to a fairly flat route, parts of this route have unavoidable hills, has uneven pavements and parts of the route may mean you need to skate in the road, or on a cycle lane).
You do not need to complete the entire route, If you do decide to leave the group for any reason, we would appreciate it if you ensure that someone staying in the group is aware that you are leaving, or that you wait until the next stop so that no one panics that you have disappeared!
If at any point you do not feel able to skate to the required standard, we recommend you remove your skates. This action is at your discretion and you must not rely on a team member to tell you to do so.
