February - March 2025

It's half term next week and still chilly out, fortunately we have a warm dry space with lots of skate opportunities! (Our regular sessions at The Ramgarhia Sports Hall are continuing to happen too)

FAMILY SKATING

Throughout half term, we have our popular Drop-in session from 12-2pm for all ages for just £5. Skate hire is an additional £2 if needed. Numbers are limited, so we suggest you book to avoid disappointment. Please note that our drop-in session is not coached. We are able to give you a couple of tips to refresh your skate knowledge.

To select your preferred day, simply click the link to register and choose 'change date' when prompted.

For those with older children, we suggest you booth the 14+ drop in session, running from Monday to Friday every day next week at 2-4pm. It's exactly the same, just for a different age group.

Adults, we have a session just for you from 6-7.30pm on Monday and 6-8pm Thursday.

ADULT LEARNING

Our Focus and Flow roller dance session returns on Wednesday 19th February from 6.30-8.30pm starting a new block of 5 sessions. While you'll make the most progress if you attend every session, these are designed for you to dip in and out of. Our relaxed style of training offers you the drills to work on to make the most rapid progress by learning how to control your wheels. The focus for this block is TURN 'N' FLOW - using all the ways we can turn so that you feel more confident to move in all directions. If transitions are your nemesis, these sessions will support you.

The first two sessions are suitable for skaters at Levels 2, 3 and 4 and the challenge level will increase during the block.

We are also hosting Jim - a talented and experienced hip-hop dancer, choreographer and performer, from France who is touring the UK this month. He is starting in Edinburgh and visiting Leeds, Bristol and London. He is offering building block skills to take away and practise to improve your isolations, spins and knowledge of freestyle, so you can truly find your flow.

What's coming up in March?

We are really excited to have our first Breakfast Roll this year! Meet us at 9am at The Skate Sanctuary on Saturday 1st March - if it's dry we will skate, if not we will walk. We're not going far this first roll out - just into Leeds city centre to grab ourselves some brunch. If you're not yet confident to skate outside, but would like to attend this social, come along anyway and walk with us.

Outdoor Confidence workshops will start in April, when the weather gets a bit more reliable!

Don't forget that we have a carefully selected range of equipment in our on-site shop - yes it's small, but we have everything you need and we know it will last as long as possible. We promise that if we don't have what you're looking for, we'll tell you!

If you get a moment, please leave us a Google Review as it helps more people find our small business.
