Summer Solstice Roll Out
This year as the Solstice is a Friday, we are opting for a very different route. This will keep us away from Leeds city centre and also along flatter terrain so more people feel able to join us.
We are also offering a walking group, please check the description if you'd like to join us.
The route will start at the Sikh sports centre at 9.30pm. If you are driving, cars can be left parked here while you skate or walk. We will proceed towards The Skate Sanctuary at Mabgate Mills and skate down Mabgate. More confident outdoor skaters may want to accompany a group who then travel further to the South Bank and skate around some of our favourite spots there. Less experienced skaters are welcome to remain with a group along Mabgate, which is fairly flat.
Official Launch Party for The Skate Sanctuary, new home of RGG
We will be having our official launch party on Saturday 22nd June and are planning an event with games, giveaways and more. We hope you can join us!
DJ Al & friends playing a selection of our favourite old skool house, hip hop and disco during the event.
Tickets are on sale now and places will be limited!
Choose your time: Late (7-10pm) or Late Late (10-1am)
We are a skate friendly space - that means skaters are welcome and no drinks on the dance floor. We encourage anyone who would like to dance to come along and see what we are about!
We are proudly alcohol-free.
Class Launch at The Skate Sanctuary
We will shortly be launching our class schedule at The Skate Sanctuary, which will mostly be roller dance sessions to support footwork, balance and individual creativity on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
We intend to offer sessions to encourage you to get moving and find your flow!
If you're practising at The Skate Sanctuary, look out for the Skill of the Month.
We have had a number of enquiries about private sessions with Mel at The Skate Sanctuary. These are also coming soon!
Parties and Private sessions will need to be booked 7 days in advance so we can ensure we have the right staff team.
We will also be offering a number of non-skate related workshops so look out for crafty goodness a-coming!
Sunday Classes at Sikh Sports Hall
We are continuing our Sunday Classes at the Sikh centre until the end of June. During July and August, we give our hardworking coach team a well deserved break, but there will be fortnightly Sunday workshops here for you to attend and keep working on those skills.
We also hope you will use the break to get out and get skating as we launch our Virtual Skate Marathon. Last year, almost 70 people across the world took part to track their distance, connect in a dedicated FaceBook group and build their confidence outside!
Summer Skate Picnic
Save the date for more outdoor skate-y fun with all the family. Bodington Fields outdoor track has room for all skaters and spectators.
Tickets coming very soon!
1-5pm for an afternoon of skate related fun!
