Roller Girl Gang's vision is to empower people to roller skate into their most joyful life.
Stories are powerful and even more so when they are told by individuals. This project has been very humbling. The very personal things that folks have chosen to share are gifts. You'll see!
Episode 5: Kath
Everyone has a story to tell. We want to learn more about why roller skates are so special to so many people – no matter your age, gender, race, culture or ability. We hope this series inspires you to try roller skating, because roller skating brings us so much joy!
Kath (she/her) roller skated as a child before having a gap as she left behind an activity she took for granted. Becoming skate curious after a gap of a couple of decades, she attended the local roller disco, and has been looking where she is going ever since.
Kath found that roller skating gave her confidence she never expected. Go Kath! Follow Kath on her social media - IG @kathycoldkakeskates
I was delighted to meet Kath at an event in London - Roll on London hosted by We The NC - in 2022. She has been a supporter of RGG from afar for a long time and we appreciate it so much!
