While we are not wishing the week away, we are very excited to host SKATE LOVE YORKSHIRE, an afternoon get together over crafts, food and disco! We've got DJ Tino bringing us tunes from 6-9pm.
Bring your clothes to customise or upcycle, snacks to share and skates or shoes to boogie!
Let's begin our week on MONDAY with a Studio Beginner Roller Skate class from 6.00 - 7.30 pm. Ready to roll? We invite all new and returning skaters to dive into the thrill of skating with us! We know those first few wobbly steps can feel like Bambi on ice, but don’t worry – we’ve got your back. We find our safe, pressure-free environment to be great for boosting your confidence all whilst having a blast.
Curious about what you’ll learn? For absolute beginners, we’ve got a separate group with a dedicated instructor to help you tackle them first few steps. If you’ve already got some moves, our team will assess your skills and help you master stopping, skating backwards, falling gracefully (yes, it’s a thing), and much more! One of the best parts of our sessions is watching your confidence soar – it’s like magic on wheels.
MONDAY evenings just got a whole lot groovier! Join us from 7:30 to 9:00 pm for our Evening Practice class and light up your night with some serious skate vibes. Visit The Skate Sanctuary for a chill space to unwind, show off your best moves, and maybe even invent a few new ones. Just remember, no speed racing - let’s keep it cool and safe for everyone.

It’s TUESDAY at Roller Girl Gang, and we’re all about moving your whole body when skating! if you’re ready to shake things up, join our Discover Roller Dance class from 6:30 - 8:00 pm! We believe roller dance isn’t just fun; it’s a way to show off your unique style. Our amazing coaches will guide you through the moves— this session repeats every four weeks to include the roller dance fundamentals.
Let's roll into WEDNESDAY with our Roller Dance Skills Focus & Flow class! This September, we’re diving into the fabulous cross step – the foundation to many roller dance moves so that you’ll be gliding and grooving in no time.
We’ll have challenges to match your pace, whether you’re on the slightly more cautious side or feeling a little more daring. The Skate Sanctuary is calling your name, come on down from 6:30 - 8:30 pm and let’s roll into some serious fun together!
As we roll into THURSDAY, get ready to have a wheelie good time with not one, but two open level practices! Our Thursday open level practice (all ages) is your golden ticket to perfect those roller dance moves across all ages in a fun, supportive, and like-minded community. Whether you’re on skates or just rolling with it, come connect with other skaters from 6:00 to 7:30 pm – it’s going to be a blast.
Need a break or just want to hang out with fellow skate enthusiasts? No worries, we’ve got your back! Join us for another Evening Practice class. With our extended hours on THURSDAYS, you can roll in anytime between 7:30 - 9:30 pm at The Skate Sanctuary in a chill adult only zone. Bring on the disco lights...
We've reached FRIDAY and not to worry, it's still here... Welcome to Friday Night Social, your weekly chill-out spot. FNS is an adult roller disco for all skill levels and genders. If you’re new to skating, don’t stress! Our friendly volunteer skate marshals are here to help you gear up and feel safe. Need a confidence boost? They’ve got you covered.
Show off your best moves, dance into the centre, and let’s roll together from 7.30 - 10:00 pm. Maybe we'll even see some new faces take part in our speed skate? Remember, it’s all about enjoying yourself by doing what feels right for you, not anyone else. And guess what? FNS is alcohol-free! It’s a safe, inclusive space for everyone to enjoy a different kind of night out. Come join the fun and let’s skate the night away!
Due to a booking issue last week, we have set the event to start at 8.30pm as this will allow ticket purchases via the website until this time. (It's a temporary fix!)
With the week almost over we reach SATURDAY... Join our Family Friendly Drop-in session from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm! Just like our regular 17+ drop-in sessions, you can show off your funky dance moves on or off skates in our delightful studio at The Skate Sanctuary. This new space has given us the chance to offer more sessions like this, so keep your eyes peeled for more!
While this session is great for the little ones, everyone is welcome. We’d love to see some new faces – and maybe some new dance moves too!
But wait, there's more! If you're not free on Saturday but are wanting to take part in our Family Friendly Drop-in session, then good news for you. We'll also be running this session from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on SUNDAY.
We’re wrapping up the week with not one, but TWO Beginner Roller Skate classes on SUNDAY! The first session kicks off from 2:30 - 4:00 pm, and the second from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. Whether you’re a newbie or dusting off those old skates, come join the fun and experience the joy of skating in our super supportive squad. At Roller Girl Gang, we only have room for love, support, and maybe a few wobbly moments!
Slow it down! Finally on SUNDAY, we'll be exploring plenty of ways to control your speed and stop safely at our Skate skills workshop from 5.30 - 7:00 pm. If you have a few different ways to stop, you will build the specific skate muscles more quickly. And hey, learning new things is always a blast! Just like all our classes, we aim to boost your confidence through roller skating, so you can glide into any space like you own it.

Skate pass continues! By signing up to our monthly or annual skate pass you'll save even more money on the cost of our regular roller skating sessions. You'll have access to any practice session at the skate sanctuary (drop-in sessions not included). Save yourself some money as skate sessions up to 5 times a week are included!
